GCB selects QB Troy Williams (Washington)

Man, I like this kid a lot.

I'm so torn on QB, but he was up there on my list.

My only real question is that I really want a guy that can run a bit, and Williams isn't a statue, but he's definitely more of a pocket QB. He's gonna be a good one.

I just also really like Lindquist and Miles too. It's going to be a battle to see who starts after Price leaves (or if he sucks it up ag

This was really the main reason I was scared off from him.

I really liked his film and, by now, I'm sure y'all have determined I love early enrollees. I think this kid can be really special regardless of who's in front of him.

I haven't been terribly impressed with this QB class and I thought Williams stood out from the other guys I watched.

With his 6th pick, OBUDan selects:

Isaac Savaiinaea, ILB, UCLA

Savaiinaea is a big, rugged ILB prospect with pretty good speed and impact hitting ability. Dissects plays well and shows good instincts. He returned kicks, so he's got some change of direction ability. UCLA's linebackers are a complete mess, so I think there's a great chance he can come in and play early for them. He's already got the necessary size.

He's the perfect fit to man the middle of my defense.

eta: Former Stanford commit and he was really highly thought of coming into his senior year, but seems to have toppled down the rankings after not impressing at camps. Oh well.
