Nothing to do with this, recruiting is alot different now from when this thing started. The class is pretty much done before signing day so not a whole lot of excitment.
Next year there are a few rule changes, signees will be able to attend the bash. They will also be able to be on campus if they want and assistant coaches can be at kids high schools when they sign.

Same with me. Skipped last year due to LM lovefest with JJ fricking up magical season, skipped this year due to Checkpoint hassle from last year.

People are ignoring the Elephant ... don't mean Sabama ... in the room. A lot of people did not go because they are fed up with Les Miles.

No real need to go - just get on the Rant now and then and follow it. Seemed more interesting and at the end of the day - you still know how the class looks. Plus you dont have to miss work.

Well that's a load a bull shite.
People don't go because it's nothing new, on a wednesday, and are worried about checkpoints. For most casual fans once you have been to one, you've seen what it has to offer. Only die hard fans care about recruiting classes enough to skip work and pay to hang out in the middle of the week.
If it were because of Miles, his luncheons, speaking engagements, spring games would all be empty. And that's definitely not the case.

People are not going bc of their disgust with what Alabama is doing and where that leaves LSU....the bayou bash is a a great indicator of the LSU fan bases enthusiasm level.
I went 10 yrs in a row, pretty sure im qualified to make that statement.
Checkpoints, bc it's worn out, on a wednesday ..... bla bla has Very little to nothing to do with it.

Checkpoint had very much to do with it. Plenty of people I talked to there had friends not go because of it. I knew several people as well that said the same.
