I'm typically not a positive sports fan, especially in regards to my beloved GT football, but with USA soccer I find myself positive that we'll get the ship righted, I just think there's too much talent and desire for us to utterly fail.. we're still 1.5 yrs away from WC '14, Rome wasn't built in a day. We've seen JK take steps forward and steps back as a manger, and that's okay as long as we are still ultimately making progress forward, and we will see how we respond vs costa rica and the mexicants to judge further.

Didn't see the match.

I had a feeling the U.S. would not do well at all after reading that SI article on San Pedro. Throw in the fact that most of the U.S. team was playing in Europe Saturday/Sunday. 10+ hour flights with not much time to rest. Going from the lap of European luxury, to a third world shite hole. Going from European match temperatures hovering at freezing or below to 90 degrees and 90% humidity.

This was a recipe for disaster.

Would not surprise me at all if the U.S. had to fight tooth and nail to finish 3rd in the Hex. Also would not surprise me if the U.S. did not make the WC.
