So how does the series end? Death? Defection? Life Sentences?
My ending: They keep on keeping on, until the Soviet Union goes belly up and cuts them loose. Now they're real Americans, with a meaningless, boring, suburban life. No more daring exploits, with an annual Florida vacation the most excitement they can look forward to.

I'm having a feeling that each side's assets will be chasing one another.

I think if the series goes on for a while, at least one of them will start working for the home team.
