Went to a Gun Shop in Lafayette last week with my buddy and he was going to get one. He liked it until he played with the Kimber that was next to it. He got it instead even though it was $600 more.

How much was the Remington?
I like the remmy as well. I've seen em here for 7/800. They don't have academy's in Wyoming so the gun prices are pretty hit or miss.
What color did you get? I like the SS with brown grip myself but you really can't go wrong unless it's that Rock island baby shite green that dude posted the other day

The aesthetics of the Remington are lacking to me. other than that they make a fine product, that being said however I'm buying something that looks better and performs just as good or better.

I could actually look past the paint when he said it was a Rick river for 400.... Almost.
Like I said, the dark green with the Brown grip is one thing
But that thing was pushing lime green... Anyone go a pic of it?

Yeah that's what I tried to tell him. You can find a rock island 1911, NEW, for almost $100 cheaper... Without having it in vomit green.
His friend was wanting to sell it to him for $400 saying it was a rock river.
Jab or sandwich (i think) had me laughing with "your friend must hate you".
Just glad we steered him in the right direction before that one.

No, not yet. I'll let yall know what I think. It was an impulse buy. Academy will only let you buy one gun every two weeks for some fricking Obama induced reason, so if I go in there tomorrow and they have a Ruger in stock I'm gonna have to pull some creative shite.
