Just make sure to not have an empty magazine in your carry on. Watched a TSA agent confiscate an empty M-9 mag from an Army LT in uniform headed overseas because she forgot it was in her bag.

I got a brand spanking new knife taken the other day. I used my hiking bag as a carry on and forgot it in there. It was only a $20 knife but still. It went on one hike and was never used. Might as well have ripped up a $20 bill.

Thanks for the solid info guys. I'll have to check and see what they say about carrying it my check in luggage. Pops said that it ha to be a metal container. I might just ship it with him in his ammo case an get it later. I'll call the airline to find out. Just some boxes of .22s an some 12 guage buckshot slugs.

I didn't know if they actually had to be in a metal container of if he was just saying that bc he has his. He's like that.
