I think it's a safety thing. Have the game end before dark. People would have rioted if they weren't let off of work.

Also, why don't yellows reset in with the next round starting?

They've played midweek qualifiers at night in the past. If rioting and violence are such a problem, Honduras has several other stadiums in slightly less hyper-violent cities where games can be played. It's obvious that they scheduled it in the middle of the day to get the most out of the humid weather.

I'm fine with a day game during the weekend as that is a fairly normal custom. This is Honduras again resorting to typical Central American bullshite to get an advantage against a better team.
