This is recruiting and you are not going to get everyone you want. What I have been posting today is simply this, RN committed to taking a trip to LSU and he is honoring that commitment. That is all when can ask for is a fair shot and he is giving that to us. He needs to be commended for honoring that commitment when everyone was bashing him when people thought he would not.

I think RN has gotten a worse rep than he deserves. He seems like a good enough kid in interviews and all this drama has been perpetrated by the media.

Kamara is an extremely marginal prospect. Think Rockey Duplessis. If he wasn't on RN's team he would likely have no BCS offers. EDIT - maybe you were talking about RN, in which case dont fool yourself there.

Well we offered Duplessis and didn't even get Nkemdiche with him

I've heard it mentioned that Kamara has zero, nadda, shot at making it and whatever major school recruits him will have to recruit him based on placing him at a JUCO.

It this is true and you hear Sunday that Kamara has committed with Mississippi Gulf Coast CC, then Nkemdiche's in.

I think missing out on Willis and Goodman gets Kamara an offer with or without RN

If he has grades, this might make sense, considering we keep hearing they'll move Jefferson inside to safety, meaning you lose a corner in the exchange.

I'm well aware of what Kamara is, I've been on this board all year following this class. Kamara will more than likely get an offer this weekend and get placed in a juco unless something miraculous happens with his grades.

If we feel like we have any shot of RN, we may offer him, otherwise there's no reason to. We are not in a place to sign and place kids in JUCO, we just dumped 2 guys and could drop more due to grades.

I think Kentucky offered him without even trying with Nkemdiche

But if you are saying Kentucky offer<BCS offer, then and

Leslie will have the grades. Only question mark is Robinson and I think he makes it in. Curter won't make it in.

We have a shot at RN? Hints why Kamara gets his offer

You don't know that. Nobody knows whether he will pass the 2-3 classes or not, there is a very strong chance he wont (he already failed 3 classes he has to retake this semester). Hate to say it, but the guy does struggle with academics (BASIC academic classes) quite a bit.

Leslie is still very much a question mark. Robinson is a question mark in 2 ways with grades being one and Miami being the other, although the prospect of Miami flipping him has waned quite a bit over the last week. People have also mentioned Boutte as a possible risk.

Well yeah, we already placed him at MGCCC.

I dont consider like .05% chance really a shot, the guy is signing with OM, end of story. There's no reason to offer Kamara because if we sign him that spot will count against an E.E. for the 2014 class who could back count to this class and I'd much rather the 2014 E.E. than a guy we'd sign and place in a JUCO.

actually I do know. He will be in this class and I have 0 doubts about that.

Leslie is not a question mark at all. Robinson is either no grades or at LSU. He will not be a hurricane, Avery's parents are close with them. They've been checking in with him. LSU or grade casualty, but I think he will be cleared. Boutte is not a risk. He's visiting ULL b/c he's Friends with Lawson and it make his girlfriend happy.

Well he was trying to take the act again after taking a prep class....

We have a much higher shot than .05%.

I'm aware of how the recruiting process works. You're just filling your post with information that's already understood to make it look like you have any substance. If we offer Kamara and he commits to JUCO but never signs with LSU how does that screw up any back counting? Kamara knows he will be a grade casualty

Leslie is not a question mark at all.

I read a quote from his coach saying he has to pass four classes (12 hours) this semester after he only needed to pass two classes (four hours, so one class was like a lab or something) last semester and couldn't do it.

But the coach also said the kid seems to be all-in this semester with tutors and what not. And this is junior college. You put in the effort, you gonna pass.

Now, considering that he only needed to pass a couple of classes last semester and could not, and now must pass MORE classes, then I would not count him as being in the class...not yet.

ETA: The reason he has to pass more hours than he did last semester is because the major he was in ceased to exist at his school after the fall semester...so he had to transfer his credits to a different (similar) major, which added extra coursework to his plate.
