Oh my. Your poor baby. I hope that dog gets the death penalty. If it was my dog that done that he would have gotten a 357 to the dome.

Also. Don't feel shitty. As a father you feel responsible I know but it's mostly impossible to be there every second of your child's life. Thank god it's not any worse.

First, Thank God she's gonna be ok.Second...Come on man..you are not a bad father so don't be so hard on yourself,getting bit by a dog is not common for most people, but kids getting cut or banged up is, when that happens ( and it probably will ) it will not mean your a bad father then either.
I have 2 kids and they are teenagers and never been bit by a dog, but they have been cut,bruised,and fell off their bikes alot, and yes it made me feel bad each time, but did not mean i was a bad pop, so hang in there man,just the fact you posted a pic on here says all i need to know about you being a good father.

feeling shitty is okay, means you give a shite and we all learn as we go. My little cousin got bit by a little bitch dog years ago in denham. They were inside playing and the dog bit her leg similar to this but not quite as bad but still a nice open gash. She was maybe 13 ish or so.

I'm really conflicted right now. After it happened and I got on the scene the owner of the dog came over while I'm attending to my daughter and declared loudly that "it isn't her dogs fault,it was on a chain."
Immediately I thought,you know it's on a chain,seems she did everything she could do to make sure the dog was restrained.
But,my daughter was playing with her kid and several other kids on her property.It's not like my daughter just decided to walk onto her property uninvited and got bit.
Does anyone else agree with this thought process?

There ain't nothing to be conflicted about. Being a chain doesn't give the dog a right to fricking bite. Especially this under the car bull shite and was nearly out of sight hidden and we're talking about a 9 year old girl. frick that momma, They in the wrong, don't back down.

Yes I agree. Like I said before, being a rational person as I am I would put a bullet in my dogs head. IWILL NOT own a biting dog.

the dog was chained, and your daughter was on the property willingly
if I was the owner, I'd pay for medical costs and put the dog down, but not everyone is a nice as the OB
I don't think you really have a case in court though since the dog was chained
