Yeah what's the definition of modern rock?

I'll vote for Myles Kennedy. But he's kinda old.

I'd say modern rock is bands/singers that are currently being played on radio and/or putting out new music.

Not has beens that are still touring and putting out new albums but best days are behind them like the stones, ac/dc etc

None of the modern radio rock singers are very good. A lot of them sound exactly the same. Chris Cornell is way past his prime but still sounds better than all the other radio rock singers.

Bruce Dickinson is still putting out music and is still one of the best rock singers ever.

Gotta love the throat singing
Puts on a great live show

I'd say in terms of range/abilities and just a great voice, my faves are...

Sahaj Ticotin

Sahaj held the record for longest single note, for a male vocalist, in a song, having held a high B for 24 seconds.

Myles Kennedy

Brandon Boyd

And just because they use to be good....

Jeff Buckley pulled off a similar feat on his cover of Hallelujah. I'm pretty sure his was 23 seconds.

I've been holding off on adding him because he's just so unfamiliar to most, but Jonas Bjerre is extremely unique and gifted.

Ilike the music of the Textures. Consonant Hemispheres Daniel de Jongh on lead vocals, he has a great voice.

Every vocalist they have had has been stellar though. They are holding auditions for a guitarist presently.

Myles Kennedy

Sahaj from Ra (even though most people don't know about Ra)

I used to say Brent Smith, but Myles and Sahaj are way better than him live.
