I am not even buying the next gen PS.
I hate the Playstation Network and whole interface.
I will buy the 720 and that's it but I doubt that's even at launch.

I'm hoping my 360 still has decent value when I try to sell it over the summer. Selling my laptop and 360 plus games and accessories should cover almost all I'm going to have to pay for a PC. I haven't even played a game on my 360 for 3 weeks save for using the amp feature on Rocksmith. I'm so ready to make the switch, but I'm gonna wait until summer because I want to make sure I can devote time to it and focus solely on school this semester.

It almost makes no sense to buy both, or if you are a XBOX guy to buy the PS3, but you have to know that the PSN is going to be completely different the next gen. I wouldn't expect to see any major differences.

This and if Playstation doesn't offer a party system with cross game chat and something better than shitty bluetooth then it's still far behind as far as a network goes.

I mean there is about a 0.00001% chance that they will have both x-game chat and party system, plus im assuming they will get rid of bluetooth or at least go to whatever is best quality.

Don't get me wrong, I have both, but at the same time there is no way that you can say the quality/numbers of 1st party exclusive games are equal across both systems.

I wouldn't see it as a big deal if the next gen didn't have x-game chat. if you want to talk to one of your friends that is playing another game, then an easy solution is to get his phone number or skype or whatever.
and I especially don't think that will be a breaking point with a buyer. it's a nice feature but not exactly necessary
