Off the top of the head Jesse stories.
I sailed him out to buzzard island on Cross Lake and he got too far ahead of me on the beach and caught a heron out of the air. He let him go once he realized he was landing in water over his head and now he's gotta swim, but he caught it in midair.
But the most amazing thing I ever saw a dog do was after he chased us on four wheelers for probably four miles eating dust we got to my tripod stand and there were four does under it. When he caught up, he read our levels of intensity and went and caught me one immediately. Now it got loose really fast but he paced it like he was just loping along while it was hauling arse across an 80 acre plowed field along the edge so I got to see the whole thing. He'd reach over and bite it on the arse every once in awhile for shits and giggles. Once he got to the other side he heard me calling him from the four wheeler I was chasing on and he broke off, turned around like he never saw me and followed the scent trail all the way back to where he bayed the deer in the first place.
He's got a chip in him so I suspect he was highly bred but thought too small because he's only fifty pounds. But he's greased fricking lighting. If he had a pack to run with to learn his job, god help some pigs or cows. I suspect he was more in the cow line. Haven't had the chip read.
