Laron Landry runs a 4.38 and he has problems. Its not all about speed. Flexibility, turning & running. Playing the ball in the air.

He's a LB. He's reads the ball and reacts to tackle it. He's an attacker. Not a coverage guy.

Exactly, I have not seen him play. There are a huge number of reasons for him being a three star and not rated higher. Speed, size, can't tackle, hates contact, LITTLE RESEARCH! Anyone out there able to fill me in with your opinion of how good he is/will be?

This. If he can't change direction without losing that speed, he'll get picked apart back there.

If by problems you mean he was an all SEC-safety, first round draft pick, all-rookie pro bowl alternate whose main problem has been injuries, then yes he has problems. Is he the best coverage guy, no, but he's been a starter since day one in the league.

I'm not saying Riley needs to be a safety, LB, or anything else, I trust the coaches on that. I would be thrilled if Riley turns out to be half the player Laron was.
