The Crab Nachos look pretty mediocre. Looks like imitation crab, may pass and go another route.
You're right. They are "Krab" nachos. And listed so on the menu. Made with imitation krab meat. Honestly it reminded me of a sushi roll on a fried wonton with no rice. Did it blow my socks off? No. did I wish I had a hundred more? Yes

The Cochon dish looks tasty, but the polenta looks extremely oily.
The dish was very oily. I thought the same thing tonight when I ate the left overs. But I think it came from the pork. My friend ordered the Smoked Shrimp and Polenta. Didn't snag a picture but from my memory, I dom't remember it being oily at all. Especially compared to mine.

I was one of the friends who joined the OP for dinner. Of the apps I liked the pork belly sliders the best. I may have a bias because I love pork belly, but this dish didn't disappoint.
The two cocktails that I ordered were the Bee Old Fashion and the Social Sazerac. I enjoyed both of these cocktails, but agree that the Manhattan was probably the best at the table. The two beers that I ordered were the Skullsplitter and the Squatters Big Cottonwood. Of these two I favored the Skullsplitter, and I felt that it was the best beer at the table.
My entree was Smoked Shrimp and Polenta. The shrimp were good, but I felt as though they were slightly salty, when paired with the polenta the saltiness died down considerably. I didn't notice the oil when eating last night, but when I finished my meal earlier today I did notice a considerable amount of oil. The dish was good but I would most likely make another selection next time I was there. This probably has less to do with the dish and more to do with the fact that everything on the menu looked great.
Overall my opinion of the restaurant directly reflects the OP's, the atmosphere of the place is great and I didn't find the noise overwhelming. It's definitely like no other place that I've been to in Lafayette and has taken over as my new favorite Lafayette restaurant.
