Yes, It's the way to go. I have a NFA trust and I have my wife, dad, father in law, and a couple friends in it. If they aren't in the trust, they can't legally shoot the gun or even be in possession of it.

You can let whoever you want shoot the gun.

It the possession part and you not being present thats illegal. No one else other than yourself can possess the item. They can shoot it all they want if you are there.

For all your class 3 questions/trust stuff, the lawyer to go to is Terry Knister or Mouthpiece on bayoushooter.

I have a trust as well and what you just said was wrong. Non trustees can shoot your class 3 items. They just cannot be in possession of them without you being present.

OP, a trust is the way to go. It protects you and others listed in the trust. Also, it's much easier to get class 3 items.
