I never made the statement you are pretending I made. That was you while you were building your little strawman argument.

When a kid's eligibility relies on several online courses he took to make up missing/failed credits, I'd say that is plenty enough standing for any school to reconsider the risk/reward of offering him a scholarship for the current year.

With the hard number rules that are in play, it's just the nature of recruiting. And, when a kid's academic standing is not in order come NSD, he is a fair target to be asked to grayshirt (effectively removing the risk for LSU).

Wow, Les Miles and his staff really suck at recruiting. Are you telling me that LSU had no idea of this kid's academic standing last March? Are you telling me that LSU has not looked at his transcript since OFFERING HIM A SCHOLARSHIP? The kid takes his official visit with his family on Jan. 26th, and everything is good to go. Then on Jan. 28th the LSU coaching staff suddenly questions a course taken 7 months ago?
