Pretty sure it's closer to Simmsport than Marksville. I don't know much about the property, but I've had extended conversations with the owner about how outdated his practices are. He doesn't care.

That's odd most all the land owners on that side are pretty good as well. Especially the guys down the log road, they are actually pretty great.

They don't skip a beat letting the kids shoot 2.5 year olds. I guess it does make sense.

An advantage Avoyelles has over the others is a lack of farmland for it's size. Way more low areas that just can't be farmed. You don't see near as many of the endless open fields.

A disadvantage is, too many hunters that either don't work, or have huge blocks of time off
A Lac Ophelia parking lot on a Tuesday may have 8 trucks. Cocodrie will have 1 or none.
Oh, and the 365 day deer season doesn't help.
