It'll get a season 3, it's Fox's best comedy, both critically acclaimed and most watched. It's just hard to get that broad appeal of a modern family or big bang theory. I'd imagine you don't get too many over 45 year olds watching new girl. At least comparatively

well the first few episodes were so focused on her i think it ruined it for a bunch of the audience.
now that the show revolves around the group as a whole it is much better.

Yeah, but it's still sinking pretty quickly as it goes on.
3 weeks ago it drew it's lowest rated episode and first episode under 4 million viewers with 3.78 million viewers, then the next episode was even worse at 3.65 million viewers.
The first half of it's first season averaged 7.5 million viewers. The second half of the season averaged about 5.8 million.
This season so far is averaging about 4.5 million viewers and the last 7 episodes have had 4.12 million viewers or less, with under 4 in two of them.
Declining quickly.

Well that's some sucky news. I thought ratings were good. It's a great show and keeps getting better. And yet...2.5 Men still bring in the viewers even though every actor on the damn show it seems has publicly trashed their own show.
I hate people.
