It's not like they asked him to walk on. After a semester he gets a full scholarship. He would have probably redshirted anyway. Plus he lives near BR so the costs will minimal. The coaches have gotten screwed plenty of time when kids don't make grades or test scores.

More upset that the LSU coaches won't take a chance on a grade risk than him not making the grades? How many kids would kill for his kind of talent along with an LSU offer with the stipulation that he must get qualifying grades?

They should be upset with the kid that didn't put in the work, or the coaches that didn't push him when he was a freshman and sophomore.
LSU is just reacting to the circumstances. They didn't create them.
