if we are looking for older SF to just fill a role for a while, i'd rather someone like Richard Jefferson, at least he can shoot, or is a threat to shoot. and he had a pretty nice dunk when he came to the Hive recently. He's not really playing much in GS.

Depends on what the Warriors want for him.

They have $74m in salaries locked up for next year with Jarrett Jack as a UFA and Carl Landry potentially opting out of his PO.

Dumping Jefferson frees up $11m for them but they may want someone to take that worthless sack of shite Andris Biedrins and his $9m PO as part of the deal.

EDIT - Golden State has no picks for 2013 since they're clearly finishing out of the top 6 this year, meaning they can't trade us a 1st until the 2015 season.

is this years draft class supposed to be good? I was under the impression that it's not looking that great.
I'd rather build through FA, but i guess when your a small market that isn't that attractive, you kind of need the draft to build. Really need a top 5 pick for the rebuild purpose, and we might be closer to the 10 spot if we stay healthy this year.
I remember some stat showing the chances of a guy drafted outside the top 10 panning out to be a good player. If was basically saying that a guy drafted 12th has about the same chances of being a good player as a guy getting drafted in the 2nd round.
I think that's why you see so many fringe teams trading away first round picks. the pick still has a chance to be the #1 but really has little chance of the player turning out to be a contributor soon if it's in that 15th pick range.
