as a NMA vet I'd give it a solid B performance. I do think Luther gets looser and more aggressive as a player 7 performer as he gets older.
That was Alvin Youngblood Hart. wasn't bad for a 2-3 song supplement. Not in NMA's class tho. His best stuff is acoustic country blues IMO.
That was a solid 2 hour non-stop high energy show. It's what to expect from these guys. Would love to see'em with a Bonnaroo crowd.
Haven't seen a great variety of shows at the Varsity. How'd that rate for ganja sharing? Thought it was pretty decent.

I was at the stage right in front of the bass player and four guys about 5 yards to my left had a blunt being passed around. They sparked it probably 2nd song in.
