Will we ever hit a point where movie theaters
get bypassed by some form of electronic means to view a new film at home?
This has been an argument from the days of the VCR. People will still want to get out and go to the movies.

Seems like a lot of people already dislike theaters due to the crowd, noise, costs, etc and with televisions in most homes only getting larger and nicer, will we hit a point where the theater is deemed unnecessary?
People still want to take a date out for dinner and a movie. You'll want to get the kids out of the house and go to a theater. Teenagers want to get out to see and be seen.
They may at some point decline but they're starting to change formats too. Alamo Draft house, Movie Studio Grill, etc.
