It seemed like if the rebound doinged of the rim, we would get it, but if it was one of those that hit and bounced straight up, we had no chance. We were just too small.

This game was badly officiated overall. Questionable calls for both teams

LSU missed a few layups that should have 100% been made. There are a thousand things LSU could have done just a tiny bit better and won, but same with Kentucky.

In the end, I think LSU hung in there well and actually progressed a lot during the game. I think it brings them some confidence for Wednesday night in the PMAC.

Im hoping a few fans make it out to the game too. I know I'll be there.

Hammink going from looking like a very good open three shooter to not being able to hit one or even come close is one of the mysteries of this season. CJJ repeatedly said in pre-season and early season that the one thing he was convinced of was that Hammink was a good shooter.

One of the trademarks of Trent's last three teams was that they couldn't shoot their way out of a wet paper bag. I had such high hopes for this year with Stringer and Hickey improved and Carmouche, Morgan and Hammink looking like they could shoot lights out.

The shooting has definitely improved but is still a long way away from where I thought we would be.

but what a lousy way to win

Not this. I'll take any win, especially against UK in bball and I thought Whitjer or whatever his name is was getting away with murder, so I think it would have been sweet justice. I'm really proud of the effort, stoked about the Mizzou game, and I'm hoping for a few quality wins down the stretch and in the SEC tournament so I can be supporting our guys in the post season

Yeah that guy was dirty. Definitely helped out their team big time with making sure a UK guy got an open look or an offensive board. Screw that guy and screw the refs for not keeping him in check.

Dont get too excited or devastated either one. UK is terrible this year due to their extreme youth and inexperience. LSU and UK both have really good recruiting classes coming in next year. Maybe we can get back to the level of play back in the DB era. Game should be in the PMAC next season...

LSU will have another chance to knock off an SEC favorite when #22 Missouri comes to town on Wednesday night. While LSU doesn't have much of a chance to be an NCAA tournament at-large, they should embrace their role as spoiler and continue to work to improve.

That's what I've been waiting to see SOS, particularly the second half. More agressiveness, confidence and sense of purpose on offense.

I don't know what Kentucky's overriding issue is. They've underperformed most of the year, but then again so have we IMHO. We did not Saturday and that's all I've been asking for.

We've already lost two conference games that we should have won. Now we need to take a couple that maybe we're not supposed to to make up for the missed opportunities. Wednesday would be a good start.

Geaux Tigers!!

I feel this is about like the marquette game but mizzou might be a good game. And for those who thought wiltjer was getting moving screens I think those were fair but the numerous finger fouls that they converted into and ones were crazy. Not saying they were cheating but they were playing at UK

You gotta expect going into Rupp you're gonna get the short end of the calls. Maybe we get a couple of home cooking calls Wednesday.

Pressey is a tough guy to stay in front of for Mizzou and he'll find the open man as soon as the help comes. We'll have to be alert and spot on in our rotations. I think that may mean another 4-minute stint for ADP, but that's our best chance honestly.

Over and over again.
And who was it who shoved Andre out of bounds, followed by another shoving Anthony out of bounds?
Lots of no-calls pro UK and lots of yes-calls against LSU.
We get into foul trouble legitimately quite often, but some times we have foul trouble thrust upon us. Still gotta keep playing through it.
Guys did a great job playing through it on Saturday.

Exactly Brit. Lot's of losing teams looking back at officials call and never get past them. The better teams move on and play to win.

Shoot, even Hammink showed a nice move driving to the basket on Saturday.

Just one.

Slashing moves are a significant part of international basketball offenses. He has shown he can do that, but he hasn't shown me the ability to hit an open shot, which we need from him.

Shane has sorely disappointed me, I'm afraid. He came into the pre-season practices with the "slashes like Manu Ginobili" hype. Didn't see it in practice or since.

He DOES have a nice driving move, but he lacks intensity and/or a desire to be physical. If he wants to be like Manu he has to be unafraid and drive through like a tractor on caffeine!

Word from the coaches insinuates that Shane is too much of a fun-loving goof off who doesn't take things seriously enough yet.

Hopefully he'll mature before next season.

Shane doesn't seem to have any handles :/
Seriously, against tight coverage he picks up his dribble and prays.

Hey Brit, does Odo practice with the team? And if he does, does he look impressive?

I know Odo practices with the team. I wish I could tell you how he looks though.

Anyone else feel that not having Ludwig has really been the difference in those close games?

Actually, I really wish we had Eddie. His last game before the injury he actually played pretty well in limited minutes with 6 points on 3 of 3 shooting. I don't think he needs to be a regular, but I don't mind Eddie playing 5-10 a game.

I am not sure if he would be the difference in a W or a L, but I think a team always misses a guy when injured whether it be in practice or game situations.
