I get what you are saying, but part of the fall of Vader was always going to be tied to the cunning of Palpatine and his masterful deception. Now, they definitely should have made Anakin less bitchy about it, but I do like the path they chose.

I'd walk the line. Have Anakin at the end of the second film cast out of the Jedi Order due to Mace finding out about his relationship with Padme, and then Palpatine comes to his aid making him Captain of his Red Guards. Third film rolls around and Palpatine sends Anakin where he knows where Darth Maul is, but Palpatine also tips off Mace Windu. The three of them arrive at the same time, and a 3 way lightsaber fight commences, with Anakin being the ultimate victor. Palpatine then tips off the other Jedis of Anakin's betrayal, forcing Anakin to continue murdering off Jedi and realizing Palpatine set him up for failure.

When he goes to confront him, he realizes that Palpatine is far too powerful for him to take on, and agrees to learn his secrets. Anakin begins planning a new Jedi Order (which aside from a dozen or less has really ceased to be at this point in the war) which would rule the galaxy, with hopefully Obi Wan coming to his side to overthrow the Emperor and then take his position for himself. Obi Wan of course refuses, and so they very reluctantly have to duel to the death. We know how that turned out.

I felt the same way when reading Harry Potter and how Voldemort evolved. Much better evolution to an evil person.

Voldemort was a bad egg and manipulative bastard from the start though. There was nothing ever good about Voldemort aside from his looks, charisma, and talent.

I mean like how Valdemort knew he could do things. But didn't really understand it. Anakin could have already discovered his powers, and not really realized when he was using the dark side or the light side. And we could see him use the dark side when it was needed.

Yeah, I agree with that. He'd already be able to push objects and be able to manipulate people with mind tricks before Obi Wan trains him.

Well, I mean, I'm not saying this isn't a good idea and I'm not fapping to this, but...

I'm fapping to this

I think the point of the story was supposed to be Anakin's lost innocence. Lucas just did a horrible job of casting and getting out of his own way telling the story. They should have focused more on what made the little innocent Jake Lloyd turn into a guy that willingly murdered millions of people. The manipulation of Palpatine was not nearly as strong as it should have been. The whole Padme story line is a huge contradiction to the whole Lite/Dark side. You cant use the dark side for benevolent purposes, it wont work, right?

Jedi showed us that Anakin was an inherently good person once he saw the light in his son. Tell me how Palpatine manipulated Anakin to fall, tell me what made him so angry. I could give a shite less about mediclorians.
