If we can get Bower that would be nice too.

Duke wants to be a Tiger bad, you have to love a kid like that. Plus we know that RN is blowing smoke towards us..

We have a great class coming in and some future NFL stars in the making.

2014 is the year for us to make it or break it.

We will need every spot to reload then.

That is just fine & I believe this will finish a tremendous recruiting class.

Not sure of the #s--if both Jackson & Bower want in, does that mean there isn't a spot for Riley?

Since we realize that 2 or 3 current commitments still have work to do in the classroom or on their test scores to qualify.

Duke Riley is a one and done at LSU. He signs but transfers next year once he sees the competition is far greater than he will ever amount too.

Gtfo with that. Riley is the perfect type of LB to take in this class. Redshirt him next season and get 2 years between he and the studs from last years class. That way when those guys leave as juniors or seniors LSU will have a RS sophomore or RS junior ready to step into their place.

I think duke Riley could be a contributor. Redshirt him and let him compete for playing time. It's about time we get some depth at LB and have a solid 2 deep @ all 3. Not all of the lbs we got last year will live up to the hype and Riley could end up being our #3-4 guy. Who knows how these kids develop...

a finish by LSU of spears and riley would not speak well for our recruiting abilities. i agree that this is a very good class period but we should have been able to get 1 or 2 oos quality guys. we could not get a top 100 player to visit. think rn, foster, lawson, goodman etc.

this is a very good class (assuming they all qualify) BUT A VERY POOR CLOSE.

bright kid who plays at 6'1"-212# and runs a 4.49 40. liked his film and he immediately reminded me of Steltz. only time will tell.

If we didn't have Herron and Gilmore right now, everyone would be saying, we've got a great class but we have to finish strong. Then, if we landed those two, by surprise, on NSD, everyone would be dancing bananas. Well, we already have them!!!

Dancing bananas, anyone?

Well does the previous months and commits speak well for our "recruiting abilities?"

I was thinking about the speed at lb, and moving someone to Safety. Riley could be that answer, but was thinking Debo...Hope we can close with one, though, as I like our current guys at LB.

Wow, just wow. Some people will find anything to bitch about.

If they don;t offer and get guys early, they are falling behind, Get the class locked up and we have a poor close.

Sign a record number of OOS guys and its not good enough because they could not get a guy that for all intents and purposes has been an Ole Miss commit for months or another guy that's been committed to Auburn since last summer or a California kid that committed to UCLA.

oldschoolgreats is the LSU fan that would want to fire the coach even if the team went undefeated and unscored upon.

Like Herron, Robinson, Gilmore, Pocic, Jennings, or Rettig?

all i am saying is that we had 3 spots left entering jan. (excluding beckwith). WE PLANNED ON FILLING THOSE SPOTS WITH TOP END ELITE TALENT. WE DIDN'T.

so, there are 2 different comments here. one, this is a very good class period. two, this is a poor close based upon what the staff was trying to accomplish in jan. this is a fair statement.

I asked a question regarding the comment I quoted. Did you, or did you not, say we should have been able to get 1 or 2 quality oos players?

bullshite now you're trying to change what you said. The coaches got several big time OOS recruits. You obviously don't know shite.

And?? It's not like they have to sign 28 players this year.
