What you see today is a product of the Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Look at me generation.
This is true and as adults, alot of us can't seem to get a grasp why kids can't be humble about themselves or try to keep low-key.
Be real here, and this is for Charles as well, if these outlets were available to you as a 17 year old kid, I don't think there's anyone out there that can say that they wouldn't cherish the attention available to them.

Every generation thinks the ones after them are disrespectful and worse. "Back in our day, things were so much better" said every generation ever. I bet the recruits from the 60's thought the 80's guys were selfish or disrespectful. The only thing that's changed is the medium and now because of technology, we all know about. While i love technology, I've very glad we did not have camera phones and facebook when i was in college
Now if you excuse me, I see some kids on my lawn.
