Yes. It is.
They want him to take more shots.
He's not used to that, under Trent Johnson.
He's basically having to unlearn some of the style Trent had him do last year. It's a shame that Anthony's natural game wasn't utilized, and now he's having to re-adjust once more.
He's used to being a distributor and on-the-ball defender first & foremost.
Who else does CJJ have off the bench to share the shooting/scoring burden though?
Just my opinion Brit, but I believe they should re-think that. He's taking passing up some open folks at times to take tough shots. I really think we'd be a better team if he struck more of a balance in those situations.
For me it's not a question of who else can score, it's a question of if these tough running one-handers when he breaks down the defese are better shots than dishing to open teammates.

Agree with you completely.

Yep, that's true, but Hickey is also probably seeing the guys making terrible shot selections, or passing it around and around, with no one wanting to take the shot.
Against A&M, there were a couple of times where Anthony ended up being forced to shoot right on the shot clock buzzer. Good defense by them, but indecisiveness by us too.
Team's still adjusting I guess.
