Tunica Report 1-24-13

Tunica is festering with deer right now. Main trails to and from the ridges are covered with scrapes and rubs. 3 of us with recurves got in and set up about 100 yards apart down a common ridge. It was 10:30am
Within 1 hour I had 2 gobblers milling around me. (Note to self this spring)
No real action till 4:00
One guy had a 4pt around him but could not get a shot despite being at full draw.
Othe guy had 3 does bust him at 10 yards! No ability to draw. He Got a shot at that 4pt who made a circle but missed.
8pt walking the ridge nice deer. No one got a shot at him.
Exciting day for sure but no kills.

Sucks the season is almost over. Deer are really starting to move. Low land is wet from rain and rising river and its pushed hogs up which has pushed deer further into the hills. Was gonna give em hell this weekend but the weather is gonna suck too much for me to get excited about it
