I have a neighbor that's been bugging me to sell him my Ice Machine for a couple years...never took him serious, but today he tells me he'll give me $600 cash for it..I paid a lot for it 20 years ago and it's seen little use, and none since 2002(I always used my f-n-laws for ice.)
btw:My f-n-law is a refrigeration guy and we just fired it up today and everything works great...

So should I jump on my neighbors offer or tell him to go pound sand?

it's a commercial unit
Iceomatic(by wellbilt)
C-50(526lb?)
with matching b-55 (550lb bin)

I never really though about selling it before... I've been kind of hoarding it and can't figure out why I feel I have to keep it...I think it's a sickness...

so What would the Outdoor Board do?

If it is 20 years old and you don't use it, it should be gone! $600 is a good price for a used one that size compared to new ones, but $600 is also good money for something you don't use.

Sell it to him for $500 and make a deal that you can get ice if you need it...

If you were to fire her up and keep her running to make ice, you'd spend $300 in a few months on electricity and upkeep.

Tell your neighbor you will sell it to him for $600 and a six pack of tallboys.

If your not using it sell it. Do you have a camp or any other place that you might use it? If not sell it

I used to fire it up just for fishing trips before I moved to a new house that didn't have a water hook up in the garage...I keep telling myself I'm gonna run a line to it and never do...I don't need the money and I keep thinking one day I'll get around to doing just that...I am just finding it hard to let it go and I don't have a fricking clue as to why? I think I need help

on edit: maybe OlGeauxT can help...I hear once you get old this sort of thing happens frequently...

Yeah I would go with this answer too. Maybe not lower it to 500. Keep it at 600. Then you get free ice and dont have to run a water line.
