A&M is taking like 7-9 WR's this year, and he couldn't expect to be there while JFF is there, realistically. Add to that, LSU's future quarterback situation with Jennings and Rettig coming in looks better than A&M's post-JFF.
Quinn isn't stupid. He knows there are a-holes like me out there that are worried about his ceiling, and rightly so, IMO, of course.
See where I'm going with this?

Quinn is one of the top WR in the country, and would also help the baseball team tremendously. If he played in frickin Alaska LSU would pursue him still. His offer is committable that's a fact. No way in hell it isn't.

I understand and typically apply that logic to blue chip recruits...again, you know what I'm thinking here, and I don't think Quinn is stupid. He's actually probably pretty bright to be doing what he's going against the competition.
