Big difference on hitting it 10-15 yards off the fairway to 30 yards lol.

Idk who said that but they clearly don't know much about golf.

If its bad bc it's not hit very long then that's not a big deal. But when it's bad bc it's left/right and have to start dealing with shots out of rough/bunker they become crippling

Like I said earlier, every player on tour would take 9 iron out of the rough as opposed to 5 iron from the middle of the fairway.

There is, however, a difference between missing the fairway by 5-10 yards and hitting it off the planet. Guys just don't want a big miss in their swing
