LSUSports.net only goes back to 1999, but since then LSU has never had 19 steals in a game. They had 18vs Louisiana-Monroe (11-20-00) during the 2000-2001 season which was 12 years ago. WOW. 15 was the highest in the last 10 years and was done on a few occasions.
Just read, 19 is most team steals since 1991. Really incredible.

I think LSU had 20 against Nicholls sometime in '90 or '91.
Great effort by the team last night, and nice to see them get a win. Hopefully that can give them a little confidence going into Rupp Sat. and bring out a little better crowd when Mizzou comes in on Wed.
(But if we're being honest, last night was one of the ugliest games I've seen in a long time. LSU made it hectic with the press, but A&M did themselves no favors by missing God knows how many lay-ups and dunks. LSU wasn't immune either, leaving several points hanging on the rim)
