I think they shot it over a couple of years as everyone had free time here and there. I'd bet most, if not all the actors, took the minimum salary the union would allow them to take on a studio movie. If it's not a studio movie, they probably did it for next to nothing. Like you said, "hey, so and so's doing it, so I will too."

Shot over 3 and a half years and a big draw for many of the actors was that it was their first shot a doing raunchy obscene things on camera.

yeah. i bet people involved are friends also.

stars do non-studio movies for peanuts all the time, especially if it's to help out friends

if it was a fun shoot that only took 3-4 days of their life, i don't think they'd expect to get a lot up front

now...on the back end? who knows
