Punter
University

Since UT has appropriated the "DBU" moniker, we should switch our focus to our key historical position of strength.

Amirite?

closer, but we still dont have anything to back it up....

Bama has a better case than us for that....

Ingram(Heisman), Trent Richardson, and Eddie Lacy will probably do well in the NFL as well..

This implies that LSU punts a lot. Which is true I guess but nothing to be proud of.

I think you need to send more then 3 players at the position and have those players be successful at the next level to be consider a position U. Ingram is a joke and TR scored a lot of TDs but did not set the world on fire like Doug Martin. Lacey had a great line. I seriously doubt he will be an NFL super star.

PU that is stupid!!!

DBU considering the success of PP, LeRon (both in the Pro Bowl) and Corey Webster (2 SB rings) and the various other decent LSU DBs in the NFL. We can be DBU way more then bama can be RBU.

With our offensive woes, we should be attractive to the best punters...I don't like it at all, but there's a little truth there....

I think the number of NFL players from LSU would dispel this notion.

Could be DLU...

From ESPN:

quote:

Here are the top programs for producing NFL players in 2012.
1. USC: 44
2. Miami: 37
3. Louisiana State: 36
4. Ohio State: 35
4. Texas 35
4. Georgia: 35
7. Florida: 30
8. Alabama: 26
9. California: 25
9. Iowa: 25
9. Michigan: 25

Here's a breakdown by position of colleges with the most players in the NFL:
QB: USC -- 4
C: Michigan, Ohio State,Texas A&M -- 3
G: Illinois, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin -- 4
OT: USC -- 5
TE: Iowa, USC, Stanford -- 5
RB: Pittsburgh -- 5
WR: Miami, Ohio State -- 7
K: Texas, Washington State -- 2
DB: Texas -- 10
LB: Penn State, USC -- 8
DE: Georgia -- 6
DT: Louisiana State, USC -- 5
P: Tennessee: 2
