Finally, a list that includes movies made before 1995. I'm only 30, and I'm ashamed at some of you. First off, any list of greatest war movies that doesn't include Patton is bull shite. My list, in no particular order : - Patton - The Longest Day - Saving Private Ryan - Apocalypse Now - Blackhawk Down Hon Mention. - To Hell and Back - Midway - The Dirty Dozen - 300 - Gladiator Edit: I'd love to put the Great Escape here, but I dont really consider it to be a war movie. Guns of Navarrone is wonderful. Kudos to the guy that said Twelve o'clock High.

1. Saving Private Ryan 2. Full Metal Jacket 3. We Were Soldiers 4. Blackhawk Down 5. The Hurt Locker/Zero Dark Thirty I have never seen Braveheart and some of the older war movies. Yes, I know, there is no excuse for that.

1. All quiet on the Western Front 2. Stalingrad 3. Patton 4. Tae Guk Gi 5. Enemy at the Gates 6. Das Boot 7. Come and See 8. Letters from Iwo Jima 9. Platoon 10. Ran (not a historically war movie but a good war movie) OK I'll go with Glory. and Star Wars!!!
