It's not staged. I have watched one of his streams. Matt invites people to play with him and tells everyone what server he is on so it's not like it would be hard to find him and do this.
No doubt that one guy enjoys the attention from it and keeps doing it.

Also, would a normal laptop run this game or would it be laggy as shite?
