Sean Payton - Most winning HC since joining the Saints in the same time frame. NFC south f-ed.

Atlanta on their best season against Saints at their worst can still only go 1-1 h2h. They F'n done son!

I think it can get worse especially with all the money on the Saints offense, got to pay PT as well.

Also the Falcons are pretty good as much as Saints fans don't want to admit it. Don't see them dropping out of the playoffs next year.

What's gonna be funny is next season after every loss, Saintards will be WTFing all over the place, since SP being out is the only reason we sucked this year.

Dude better reel off at least 6 or 7 and 0 to start next year. If we lose the first game or two, all hell will break loose.

Haven't the Falcons only beaten the Saints with Brees and Payton twice since 2006? Hell, the Saints even stole one of the two this year during that clusterfrick of a season.

7-9 is definitely not as bad as it can get.

I'm actually glad that he has finally been re-instated. I have absolutely looked forward to Saints vs Falcons games more recently because we are no longer playing for which team will sink the other into a top 10 draft pick. Now we are fighting for the division (which is why I think the shite talking between fans has become more intense).

The games next season will have more meaning than ever before. Falcons will be attempting to defend the NFC South crown, and the Saints will come out with a chip on their shoulder with something to prove. For the OP who thinks the Falcons door has closed, the Saints have a SB under their belts (congratulations), but the Falcons have been in the playoffs 4 out of the past 5 seasons, and we've been the #1 seed two out of the past 3 years. Our window is far from shut.

You can hate on Matt Ryan just because he is a Falcon, or any other player, coach or water boy that wears Falcons colors for that fact. But, you hate on them because you know they are a threat, and we will be a threat for a while. Saints fans don't run rampant with shite talk in regards to the Bucs or Panthers, because for the most part, they are irrelevant when it comes to chasing us for the division. You can deny it, but it's the truth.

I'm glad Payton has been re-instated and I look forward to what kind of moves both teams make this off-season in preparation for next season.

So is Payton automatically going to fix your HISTORICALLY shitty defense?

Nice didn't know that, thought he was on his original. And you can call me a tard all you want but the fact remains that the Saints are loaded with contracts on the offensive side and still need a lineman to keep Brees upright. That leaves little money to be spent on D and with a second round pick taken away it will be harder to build through the Draft. I'm sure you will disagree with this however.

Sean Payton has been with the Saints since 2006, so he is the longest tenured coach in the NFC South.

However, since 2008 (Mike Smith's first year in Atlanta) Atlanta has had the best record in the NFC South.

Atlanta Falcons Since 2008 - 56-24
New Orleans Saints Since 2008 - 52-27
