Do I need anything to plug my tv into the wall to get local channels?

Didnt they stop doing local channels over the airwaves and you can just plug into the wall?

I dunno... I've got Verizon FIOS for my internet and cable and it's been outstanding. Especially the internet... Fast as frick and has NEVER glitched in about 3 years now.

Depending on where you live you might want to get one of the HD antenna's that can go up to 60 miles.
