I'd take TG too, but I think it is just easier to put his career in perspective because he is an offensive player and his statistics are easier to quantify.

Btw I wouldn't rag on his QBs, it always seemed like he had decent guys throwing him the ball. He was pretty much the only receiving option for years.


As far as Lewis, I think he got a lot of pub because he always called attention to himself. I think he was great, but only truly elite for a few years. Back around when they won the Super Bowl. It seemed for like a short stretch he did made every play on that defense. Forcing fumbles, intercepting balls, etc. He always got a lot of kudos whether he was playing good or not, because of the way he played during that stretch, and because of the way Balt's D led them to the win in that SB. Won't get into the fact that he always had great players playing next to him. But he always got the credit even when he was too slow to make plays late in his career
