Only thing I have done to it is a new alternator.

Crank em and go.
Just don't go up more than roughly an inch. With the factory sized tires you definitely shouldn't wear anything out faster than normal.
Just make sure you measure all the tire stuff to see if you need a front end alignment. If you're careful there's a good chance you won't need one.
