Newbomb never mentions his wife. You must be talking about me.
I referenced the US Code above that exempts employees at Ft. Campbell from paying the KY income tax. It states they pay the income tax in the state they reside.
So, I think with all the different opinions in here, they are all right if that makes sense. Best I could tell from looking into it is in most states, that is correct, you pay both taxes in the state you work and reside.
So, my advice to the OP would be ask a tax professional in your area.

You aren't breaking any laws, you are correct.. I live in TN but work on Ft. Campbell.
