Thanks to all you Tigers that posted in response to my question. Sorry if it came off as a flame because that was not the intention.

I was just a little intense because I saw so many posts that thought OM just couldn't do it because ... well they are OM.

I equate that retardation of thought to people who say you can't do something because i.e. you're black or you're a girl. Outright statements such as these come from pure ignorance.

I agree with you, never say never, but the comparison to LSU is not a good one and no its not because I'm an LSU fan.

Yeah what I meant with that was y'all had down years and y'all came back from that because you found the right coach.

quote:

As others have mentioned, La is a larger state, that produces more SEC and NFL caliber plaeyrs, plus LSU does not have another SEC team in the state or even a mid major with some history like USM.

Absolutely one reason you will always have the edge to OM I can't argue this at all and won't

so while I agree OM could certainly put together a better program and even make a run like USCe, I'm not sure they have the resources to be a consitent contender at a high level. Maybe like a Texas Tech type program, usually 7-8 wins, put together a special team every so often.

I certainly don't think we can become a Bama/LSU but I don't think its as absurd as some would come to believe that we couldn't become a USCe of the west and kick Awbarn or tFlagship out of that third/fourth positition with at least a shot to compete with the likes of You & Bama.

TIA for responses just wanted to discuss these points with y'all since I noticed you were already talking about some of these things amongst yourselves
