Those wanting to "fire Jones" or are upset that he doesn't have LSU competing for an SEC title this year are ridiculous. That said, Jones should not be above criticism for this team's conf. start. While they certainly may not end the season that way, you'd have to rank LSU last (or at minimum next to last) in the SEC at this point in the season.
A reasonable fan could understand the AU loss - First SEC road game against a team that was playing pretty well. (Although you would have liked them to be more competitive in the 2nd half)
A reasonable fan could also live with the UF loss - The best or second best team in the conf. (Although again, you'd have liked them to be more competitive)
It's hard to really be accepting of last night's loss though. At home, against a team that may be as, but is definitely not MORE talented than you. Frank Martin puts an emphasis on toughness and defense, and USC did defend marginally well, but there were times where LSU looked absolutely clueless as to how to create an open look. (Also, the 20+ TO's didn't help)
*One bright spot, they did shoot FT well last night.
