I thought I read in the regs before that it was illegal to use anything to hold your nets open like that.

If you have the turtles like I do where I fish them dont let them stay a month. Just a week and you will have 10 of them in there soggy and rotting.

Older gentleman told me the other day to hang the smaller hoop nets (which you have) mouth down from a branch or so. He said you don't even have to bait it. "Catfish think it is a log or something and swim up in it". Also, he said cheese is the best for catfish, and the cotton seed cake works best on scale fish.
