Thanks for the tips guys.
I know they seem small, but definitely hoop nets. They stretch out to about 6 feet.
I know where to get cotton seed cake in north LA, but does anyone know where to find it in South Central La?

Cool, I have some 24" hoop nets and the small ones work. Not familiar with where you are going and how current is but be sure and stretch them out good. Good luck

That's just a regular "hoop style"catfish trap. Bait with old stinky cheese or dog food tied up in the foot of some pantyhose and run them every other day.
Hoop nets are about 5 foot tall x 20 feet long and look similar in design to what you have, just way bigger. Those are supposed to be fish exactly like the poster hardhead said above.
