Knowing ND, I know they do more to protect/maintain their name brand than any other college. It's common sense that the SID would have sat Manti down when the dead gf story first broke, told him that the media would be coming after him, so give us the skinny so that we can spin it the way we want it to be spun.

If Manti gave those people the story that he peddled for however long, and Swarbrick got up on podium and said that we hired a PI and Manti was duped, then both Manti and ND are lying. If Manti told the truth and said this was an online thing, then ND lied. If ESPN/NBC refused to do SOP and follow up and background check, then they were in on the scam. NO ONE comes out of this thing alive...
