I think we kind of "executive ordered" not using anything from any single movie/tv show, not just a font.
I'd still like to see another take on the Hollywood sign. I like the idea, but I just don't think it looks like the Hollywood sign at all. I'm not sure what could make it look more like it. Maybe all white? Having the letters be more staggered? I dunno. But, I think some changes to the design itself could really make it look like the Hollywood sign.
As it is now, it just looks kind of random and doesn't really fit with a Movie/TV board. That's just my opinion though.

i will make ones for specific movies for fun because someone really wants to see it. But i will not personally submit anything for vote that isnt a play off of the actual TD logo.

Well that's because it was a whole screenshot. If we do JUST the logo I think it would work. If people need to see certain colors with a logo then maybe that logo isn't what we need. The logo should be able to stand alone IMO.

the only thing embarrassing was when Sentrius tried to take over because he wanted Stout's design. I think having an open discussion and allowing plenty of dialogue will only result in a better choice.
