Sometimes I run across players who are successful in the NFL that I don't remember as having played much while at LSU.

Howard Green
Ryan Clark
Donnie Jones

Anybody else notice this?

I don't even know who that is so I would have to agree with you.

McCrary being on an NFL team is still astonishing to me.

Kenny Wilkerson never played much at LSU and lasted several years with the Steelers (?)

Edit: I don't remember his last name but it wasn't Wilkerson. He was from Bossier City.

You have to be what, 17?
if you actually watched the Blue Grass Miracle you'd remember his 79 yard punt that landed on the two yard line. and it did seem like he played for about 8 years.

congrats on admitting that you paid very little attention to LSU football

might as well throw Trindon Holliday on that list

Both were 3 or 4 year starters I believe. Clark was almost an All-American.

Here is why our fanbase is so spoiled. People dont even remember guys who laid down the foundation for LSU's last 10 years of success. They just know about SEC Chamionships, BCS Bowls, and NC's.

Ryan Clark was a beast. Donnie Jones had one of the strongest legs in the SEC, and Howard didnt shine but he plugged the holes and was a key member of the D when he was here.

I guess it's easy to get a little foggy on them because it's been awhile, but I still remember Dan Bourne saying their names a million times over the Tiger Stadium PA.

Perhaps this explains why some fans are maniac negatigers. Because they either weren't around on the come-uppance of this program, or they just forget.

And to whomever brought up McCray - it is still unbelievable to me he's at the next level.

Wow... I didn't even know Ryan Clark went to LSU. And I am REALLY good at knowing where people went to school. To be fair, I started watching college football seriously in 2001 when I was 11 years old.
