I don't understand why we don't see our "next QB" in the early blow out games playing all of 3rd and/or 4th to get experience!
Wounldnt Mett has gotten significant snaps last year? Wouldn't he have been better this year b/c of it?

2011- early season was trying to get JL up to speed after not playing much in 2010
2011- late season was wasting snaps by JJ, who had been selected by the brain trust to be the QB for the march to the promised land
2012- an inexperienced ZM needed all the snaps early to be prepared to hand off three times in a row to ensure that Bama got a chance to get the win that ensured NS's legacy

Said this a million times. 2011 had plenty of opportunities for Mett to play. 2012 not so many for Rivers. We need to get 2nd and 3rd string QB's some reps when able.

After getting 150 snaps each week in practice and about 4,000 total for the year, I'm sure he'd be worlds better for getting 50 snaps against crappy teams with a second string OLine blocking for him.
