bought one and brought it back..didn't fit good at all.

I like the hard plastic holsters with the button release but like i said i heard they tend to scratch up the gun so I am a bit weary about it. Anyone have any experience with them?

Here's a trick - bring the pistol in the store and open the package and test it out. Odds are that you picked up the wrong size holster... There's also a size chart on the back of the Uncle Mike's package. Like TT said above if you do begin to conceal carry you'll have to decide how you want to carry it.

Sounds like you're looking for a "retention" type holster. Look at Serpa and Blackhawk. A well fitting holster shouldn't cause any undue wear on the gun. Of course, ANY holster will cause some of the gun's finish to wear off.
